The awards will be announced in a local press release and featured on the Parks & Recreation website, and on our social media pages. A formal award ceremony and celebration will be held on May 27, 2022. These awards honor older Americans within the community on their accomplishments in the following fields: Sports, Arts, Business/Entrepreneurship, STEM, Education, Community Service/Volunteering, Activism, etc.
NOMINEE QUALIFICATIONS
- The citizen has to be 50 years of age or older.
- The citizen must live in Lynchburg or the surrounding area.
- LPRD awards committee has the right to redirect entries into appropriate categories.
