Major Shaw from the Lancaster County Sheriffs Office is going to provide a 3 session concealed weapons class for county employees.  The classes will be split up into 2 hour sessions located in Administration Conference Room which will allow employees to obtain this certification at a time that is more convenient for them.  The first group of classes will begin on Tuesday January 8, 2019.  The schedule is as follows: 

• Tuesday January 8, 2019 @ 5:30- Classroom Session
• Thursday January 10, 2019 @ 5:30- Classroom Session 
• Sunday January 13, 2018 @ 2:00 -Range/ Shooting Session

The cost of the class fee is $ 65 of which a $20 deposit MUST be paid AT REGISTRATION.  The remaining $ 45 is due at the start of the first class on January 8th.  Once your class is complete you must pay $ 50.00 to SLED to complete your certification and receive your CWP.  You must be 18 to take the class and 21 to receive the CWP.  (so if you take the class before you are 21, you will have to wait to send in your application to SLED)

For the class you will need: 

• Handgun 
• Holster
• 50 rounds (minimum)
• Eye & Ear Protection

Major Shaw has a few handguns that he can loan for a cost of $20.  These will be provided on a first come first serve basis.  If you need a loaner weapon you must specify this at registration and must pay the additional $20 at that time.  This would make your total deposit $ 40.  

This first round of classes is limited to 20 spots so if you would like to take the class submit your registration and deposit now.  Again the deposit is $20 and is due at registration, the remainder is due on the first day of class.  You do have the option to pay the full cost up front if you would like.  When registering please make sure to select the "loaner weapon" option if you need to use one of Major Shaws.  I will update when both of his weapons have been reserved.   YOU MAY USE A CARD TO PAY YOUR TOTAL OR DEPOSIT.  YOU MAY ALSO PAY CASH TO HUMAN RESOURCES.  YOUR SPOT WILL NOT BE RESERVED UNTIL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE.
